About The Position

The Full-Time Sales Associate assists the store management team with daily store operations, including customer service, sales, merchandising, and other duties assigned by management. Work is expected to be professional, courteous, reliable, and results-oriented. A standard work week consists of a minimum of 35 hours and a maximum of 40 hours.

The role builds customer relationships, helps customers select suitable products, supports shipment processing and store presentation, and assists with operational compliance, loss prevention, training, and cash-handling procedures. Associates are expected to maintain a positive attitude, follow company policies, and help create a neat and orderly sales environment. The position may require working in multiple stores within the assigned district.

Requirements

• Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Excellent command of English to communicate effectively with management, customers, and other employees.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to work with minimal supervision, including taking charge of the store when necessary.
• Open availability and flexibility to meet customer demand and business needs.
• Basic fashion and style trend knowledge and interest in working with customers in a retail setting.
• Ability to build and work as part of a team, handle responsibility, and understand the needs of the street lifestyle customer.
• Willingness to work in multiple stores in the assigned district.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases and in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, professional customer service and help customers identify products that meet their needs.
• Apply basic fashion and trend knowledge to recommend and sell appropriate merchandise while maintaining DTLR standards.
• Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
• Maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude toward the job and company.
• Comply with and enforce company policies; participate in service training and product programs.
• Assist the Store Manager in monitoring issues related to loss or store inconsistencies and help meet shrink goals at or below company plan.
• Monitor and control operational compliance, safety, and business standards.
• Support training employees in suggested selling and merchandising techniques.
• Help minimize inventory shrinkage by protecting against shoplifting and internal theft and following loss prevention and security procedures.
• Follow point-of-sale procedures, balance money received during assigned work, and work with management to investigate discrepancies.
• Keep management informed of important developments, potential problems, and other information needed for effective management.
• Help maintain a neat and orderly sales environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
