About The Position
A Part-Time Sales Associate drives selling efforts and customer relationships by excelling in customer service and selling techniques. The role performs daily store functions, including product merchandising and sales, customer relations, and store maintenance. The most important aspects of the position are customer service, sales, and teamwork. The associate helps customers find appropriate merchandise, supports shipments and restocking, follows visual standards, and helps maintain an organized sales environment. They are expected to communicate effectively, work collaboratively, and contribute to a positive customer experience while complying with company policies and embracing service training and product programs.
Requirements
- Excellent command of English to communicate effectively with management, customers, and other employees.
- Basic fashion and style trend knowledge and a desire to work with customers in a retail setting.
- Problem-solving, analytical, detail-orientation, flexibility, communication, and interpersonal skills to provide customer service, accurate inventory control, merchandise transport, and store maintenance.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases and in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with flexibility.
- Reliable transportation.
Nice To Haves
- Previous work experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not necessary.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Responsibilities
- Display basic fashion and trend knowledge and satisfy customer needs by selling appropriate merchandise while maintaining DTLR standards and building relationships.
- Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
- Present a positive, energetic, and outgoing impression to customers and demonstrate a positive, enthusiastic attitude toward the job and company.
- Comply with all company policies.
- Participate in service training and product programs.
- Follow visual standards, complete daily restocking, and represent adequate size runs according to visual directions.
- Assist in eliminating employee and customer theft.
- Help maintain a neat and orderly sales environment.
- Help keep the store organized as directed by store management.
- Perform other assigned duties.
