About The Position

The Sales Associate provides quality customer service and drives product sales. This role requires knowledge of each product area or department and adherence to the policies, procedures, and standards in the visual manual. The Sales Associate promotes sales and promotions, serves as an ambassador for the organization and brand, and creates a customer experience intended to acquire and retain long-time customers. The position is part-time and reports to the Store Manager.

Requirements

0–2 years of customer service experience.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Self-starter with initiative to take on important tasks without being asked.
Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and precisely.
Team player passionate about outstanding customer service and selling merchandise.

Responsibilities

Provide extraordinary customer service, including assisting customers as they enter the store and helping multiple customers during peak periods.
Promote and sell the organization’s services and merchandise.
Set goals to improve selling skills and track overall sales.
Follow company policies, procedures, and standards in the operations, personnel, visual, and customer service manuals, as well as company memos.
Assist with daily store operations, including work lists, cleanup lists, weekly shipments, and store maintenance.
Present merchandise to promote and sell goods, using guidance from the product knowledge manual.
Achieve or exceed sales targets and goals.
Identify and communicate merchandise needs, pricing concerns, and operational problems to store management.
Attend staff meetings and store tech clinics.
Protect company assets and financial information by following internal control procedures and informing management or appropriate officials of potential fraud risks.
