About The Position

A Part-Time Sales Associate drives selling efforts and customer relationships by providing strong customer service and using effective selling techniques. The role performs daily store functions, including product merchandising and sales, customer relations, and store maintenance. Customer service, sales, and teamwork are central to the position. The associate helps customers find appropriate merchandise while maintaining DTLR standards and building relationships. They assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, pricing, visual standards, and store organization; maintain a neat sales environment; comply with company policies; participate in service training and product programs; and help prevent employee and customer theft. Other duties may be assigned. The position requires standing for extended periods and lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50 pounds. Associates may need to work extended hours during critical project phases and must be comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Reliable transportation is required.

Requirements

Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
Excellent command of English to communicate effectively with management, customers, and other employees.
Basic fashion and style trend knowledge and a desire to work with customers in a retail setting.
Problem-solving, analytical, detail-orientation, flexibility, communication, and interpersonal skills to support customer service, inventory control, merchandise transport, and store maintenance.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases and in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

Help keep the store organized as directed by store management.
