About The Position

The Part Time Sales Associate supports sales performance, delivers an exceptional customer experience, and carries out day-to-day store operations. The role follows customer engagement strategies and maintains merchandising standards that support a positive in-store experience. The associate builds customer relationships, recommends products, promotes the rewards program, works toward sales and loyalty goals, and helps keep the store clean, organized, and well-stocked. The position also includes processing transactions, handling cash, following store procedures, and supporting loss prevention and safety efforts.

Requirements

Must be at least 16 years old.
Must be available to work at least 12 hours per week, including one weekend day.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs and arrive on time for scheduled shifts.
Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with customers and team members.
Ability to operate office equipment and technology such as cash registers, computers, phones, and scanners.
Ability to stand and move throughout the store during scheduled shifts.
Ability to lift or maneuver 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Ability to push and pull full racks of merchandise.
Ability to reach, stretch, bend, stoop, and crouch to retrieve items, restock, and maintain store cleanliness.
Ability to use fine manipulation and grasp hands to sort, hang, fold, and organize clothing.
Vision to read labels accurately, assist customers, and perform tasks requiring attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service and uphold retail standards that align with company expectations.
Initiate conversations with customers to learn their interests and identify products to suggest.
Assist customers in the fitting room and recommend products based on their needs and preferences through suggestive selling.
Promote the rewards program and achieve weekly loyalty sign-up goals.
Learn about new products and trends to better engage customers.
Achieve personal sales targets and contribute to overall store performance.
Provide information and advice about product performance, features, and specifications.
Maintain visual merchandising standards and keep the sales floor clean, organized, and well-stocked.
Assist with assigned daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures.
Process transactions accurately, handle cash, and maintain point-of-sale integrity.
Follow company and store policies, processes, and procedures.
Respond quickly to customer or employee injuries and report them immediately to the manager on duty.
Participate in loss prevention audits and follow loss prevention policies to minimize store shrink.
Arrive on time for scheduled shifts and work a flexible schedule to meet business needs.
Communicate clearly and respectfully with customers and team members.
Operate office equipment and technology, including cash registers, computers, phones, and scanners.
Move throughout the store to assist customers, retrieve merchandise, and recover the store.
Lift and carry merchandise, push and pull full racks, and reach, stretch, bend, stoop, and crouch as needed for stocking and store upkeep.
Occasionally perform manual labor to assemble displays or rearrange the store layout.
Use fine manipulation and grasping to sort and organize clothing, including hanging and folding garments.
