About The Position

The Sales Outfitter - Firearms is responsible for maintaining firearms counter sales and customer service, along with floor and counter sales of other hunting merchandise. The role includes greeting and acknowledging customers promptly and warmly, handling merchandise carefully, and providing customers with information, assistance, and direction.

The Sales Associate supports a high standard of customer service and creates a pleasant shopping experience by identifying customer needs, recommending products, and promoting programs such as CLUB membership, VOC, and in-store pickup. The position also requires accurately completing Form 4473, demonstrating products, organizing and replenishing merchandise, maintaining pricing and signage, and keeping the work area clean and stocked. The employee is expected to maintain product knowledge through ongoing training, follow company policies and procedures, assist with seasonal merchandise moves, and perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of retail experience.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Knowledge of firearms and ammunition.
• Knowledge of ATF federal and state regulations.
• Knowledge of customer service and sales of firearms and ammunition.
• Knowledge of GCA.
• Ability to merchandise and stock merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, prompt customer service and help create a productive shopping experience.
• Identify and evaluate customers’ needs and recommend products.
• Promote programs including CLUB membership, VOC, and in-store pickup.
• Complete Form 4473 thoroughly and accurately.
• Demonstrate products to customers.
• Organize and maintain merchandise at the firearms counter and throughout the retail store.
• Replenish merchandise on shelves according to merchandising guidelines.
• Maintain product knowledge through ongoing training.
• Stay informed about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signage.
• Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and stocked with supplies.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
