About The Position

The Firearms Sales Associate (Sales Outfitter - Firearms) maintains firearms counter sales and customer service, while also providing floor and counter sales support for other hunting merchandise. The role helps create a pleasant, productive shopping experience by greeting customers promptly and in a friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, and providing information, assistance, and direction. The associate supports firearms customers with buying decisions by identifying and evaluating their needs and recommending products. The role includes completing Form 4473 accurately, demonstrating products, maintaining and replenishing merchandise, staying current on product knowledge and advertised sales, and keeping the work area clean and stocked. Duties are performed under general supervision using established procedures, with occasional independent judgment and recommendations for improving work procedures, policies, and practices. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
0–2 years of retail experience.
Must be at least 21 years old.
Knowledge of firearms and ammunition products.
Knowledge of ATF federal and state regulations.
Customer service and sales knowledge related to firearms and ammunition.
Knowledge of GCA.
Ability to merchandise and stock merchandise.

Responsibilities

Provide courteous, prompt customer service and help ensure a pleasant and productive shopping experience.
Identify and evaluate customer needs and recommend suitable products.
Promote programs including CLUB membership, VOC, and in-store pickup.
Ensure Form 4473 is completed thoroughly and accurately.
Develop the ability to demonstrate products to customers.
Organize and maintain merchandise for gun-counter sales.
Replenish products on shelves according to merchandising guidelines.
Maintain product expertise through ongoing product knowledge training.
Stay informed about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signage.
Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
Keep the work area clean, neat, and adequately stocked with supplies.
Follow company policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
