About The Position

The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board is hiring permanent part-time Intermittent Liquor Store Clerks (ILSC) to work as Sales Associates at Fine Wine & Good Spirits store #3621, located at Shoppes at Landis Valley in Lancaster. The role focuses on customer service, sales transactions, stocking and displaying products, preparing wholesale customer orders, and maintaining a clean and welcoming store. Employees must follow legal requirements for alcohol sales and safely handle products weighing 30 to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 60 pounds.

The position requires at least 13 hours of work per week, with the opportunity to work up to 32 hours per week. Shifts are flexible and typically 4 to 8 hours, scheduled on a rotating basis during weekdays and weekends, including daytime and evening hours. Work hours vary according to store needs. The position is based at the listed store, though employees may be assigned to other stores within the county or district. Telework is not available. Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must meet the Pennsylvania residency requirement.
• Must be able to perform the essential job functions.
• Must pass a background investigation.
• A felony conviction within the last ten years of the prospective employment date disqualifies an applicant under section 210(c) of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code; other criminal convictions are reviewed case by case.
• Must be able to work at least 13 hours per week; hours vary according to availability and store needs.
• Must be willing to work rotating weekday and weekend shifts, including daytime and evening hours.
• Must be willing to work at the listed location and potentially other stores within the county or district based on operational needs.
• Must be able to safely lift products weighing 30 to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 60 pounds, and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and help shoppers find products.
• Process sales transactions using a computerized cash register.
• Unload shipments, stock shelves, and set up product displays.
• Receive, assemble, and pack wholesale customer orders and load them into vehicles.
• Safely lift products weighing 30 to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 60 pounds, including lifting overhead or from a squatting position.
• Stand for extended periods.
• Keep the store clean and organized.
• Use scanners, box cutters, dollies, carts, hand trucks, and pallet jacks.
• Follow legal guidelines to ensure alcohol is sold only to legally permitted customers.
• Work collaboratively in a team-oriented store environment.
