About The Position

The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board is hiring part-time Intermittent Liquor Store Clerks (ILSCs) for Fine Wine & Good Spirits. The Sales Associate serves customers, supports sales, and helps maintain a welcoming, organized store. The position is permanently part-time and based at the store identified in the posting, with possible assignments to other stores in the county or district according to operational needs. Telework is not available. The role offers Affordable Care Act/Bronze Plan medical benefits from the first day of employment. Staff parking is available, and the store is near food and restaurant options and accessible by public transportation. Work hours vary: at least 13 hours per week are required, with the opportunity to work up to 32 hours per week depending on availability and store needs. Shifts are typically 4 to 8 hours, scheduled on a rotating basis across weekdays and weekends, including daytime and evening hours. Night and weekend availability is required. Applicants must be at least 18, meet Pennsylvania residency requirements, be able to perform essential job functions, and pass a background investigation. A felony conviction within the ten years before the prospective employment date disqualifies an applicant under the Pennsylvania Liquor Code; other criminal convictions are reviewed case by case. The posting closes on November 1, 2026, or when 25 applications are received, whichever occurs first.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must meet Pennsylvania residency requirements.
Must be able to perform the essential job functions, including extended standing and lifting requirements.
Must pass a background investigation.
A felony conviction within the ten years before the prospective employment date is disqualifying under section 210(c) of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code; other convictions are reviewed case by case.
Night and weekend availability is required.
Must be willing to work at the listed store and potentially at other stores within the county or district based on operational needs.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Provide customer service and help shoppers find products.
Process sales transactions using a computerized cash register.
Unload shipments, stock shelves, and set up product displays.
Receive, assemble, and pack wholesale customer orders and load them into vehicles.
Safely lift products weighing 30 to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 60 pounds, including lifting overhead or from the floor while squatting.
Stand for extended periods.
Keep the store clean and organized.
Use scanners, box cutters, dollies, carts, hand trucks, and pallet jacks.
Follow legal requirements to ensure alcohol is sold only to customers legally permitted to purchase it.
Work scheduled shifts and, as operational needs require, potentially work at other stores in the county or district.
