About The Position

The Sales Associate assists customers throughout the retail store and provides excellent customer service. Duties may include greeting customers, answering product-related questions, cashier responsibilities, assembling products for floor displays and customer requests, housekeeping, and other duties assigned by the manager. Some mechanical ability is required. The position reports directly to the Store Manager and has no direct supervisory authority. The pay range is $17.00–$18.00, depending on experience.

Requirements

Excellent customer service skills.
Some mechanical ability.
Frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand for long periods.
Frequent bending and twisting.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet customers and assist with customer service questions.
Price store merchandise and make price changes as requested by store management.
Stock and face merchandise on shelves as requested by store management.
Assist with receiving freight and organize incoming products as directed by store management.
Assemble products as needed, including products for floor displays and customer requests.
Assist in cycle counts.
Answer incoming telephone calls and handle them appropriately.
Handle customer transactions using the KCX cash register system.
Handle cash accurately.
Handle customer returns.
Perform housekeeping duties.
Perform other duties as assigned.
