About The Position

Meyer is hiring an Outside Sales Representative to handle outside sales functions for Outdoor Power Equipment/Powersports. The role focuses on generating sales opportunities through visits to prospective customers, maintaining regular contact with current and key accounts, and keeping current customers informed about promotions and vendor literature. The representative travels within an assigned territory for daily face-to-face customer interactions and is responsible for growing sales and market share. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Annual salary is based on experience.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Maintain a valid driver's license with no recent moving or driving violations.
Remain insurable at the standard insurance market rate.

Nice To Haves

Associate degree in business or a related field preferred.
Previous automotive parts knowledge and sales experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Represent Meyer and its interests professionally, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
Travel within the assigned territory for daily face-to-face interactions with prospects and customers.
Grow and develop sales and market share within the assigned territory.
Establish and maintain relationships with new and repeat customers.
Enter and maintain daily visit notes for all sales visits.
Educate customers about the financial and professional benefits of the company's products or services.
Identify customer buying patterns and develop plans to increase sales or offer alternatives as needed.
Sell company products and services using product knowledge, manufacturer literature, promotions, and customer events.
Monitor competitors, new products, and market conditions to understand customer needs.
Be responsible for company-provided equipment, including a company car, credit card, laptop, and gas cards.
Perform other duties as assigned.
