About The Position

The Sales Associate supports the smooth operation of the retail store by stocking inventory, maintaining store cleanliness, providing customer service, and handling financial transactions. The role also involves assisting customers and maintaining the store image to company standards. Activities support the organization’s strategy and vision and must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including Equal Employment Opportunity laws, HIPAA, and ERISA. Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities.

Requirements

• Ability to actively listen, take initiative, multitask, prioritize, and manage time.
• Demonstrate ongoing value and operational excellence.
• Remain active and move frequently around the store for the duration of the shift.
• Have a form of communication by which the employee can be reached.
• Understand procedures and operations for the cash register, SNAP purchases, cash control, safe drops, lottery and lotto ticket sales and cashing, beer and wine sales, tobacco sales, and money orders.
• Complete a certified alcohol sellers' training program.
