About The Position

The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) is hiring part-time Sales Associates, also called Intermittent Liquor Store Clerks (ILSCs), for its Fine Wine & Good Spirits stores. The position is based at Store #2001 in Downtown Mall, Meadville, and provides customer service, sales support, and general retail store assistance. Associates help create a welcoming shopping experience, complete transactions, stock and display products, and prepare wholesale orders. The role involves physical work, including standing for extended periods and lifting products weighing 30 to 50 pounds, occasionally up to 60 pounds. Associates must follow legal requirements for alcohol sales.

This is permanent, part-time employment. At least 13 hours per week are required, with the opportunity to work up to 32 hours per week depending on availability and store needs. Preferred availability is 26 to 30 hours per week. Shifts generally range from 4 to 7 hours and may include rotating weekday and weekend daytime or evening hours. The position is onsite, with no telework option. The employee is headquartered at the listed store but may be assigned to other stores within the county or district based on operational needs. Requirements

• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must meet the Pennsylvania residency requirement.
• Must be able to perform the essential job functions.
• Must pass a background investigation.
• A felony conviction within the last ten years of the prospective employment date disqualifies an applicant from working for the PLCB; other criminal convictions are reviewed case by case.
• Must be available to work at least 13 hours per week.
• Must be willing to work at the listed location and, if operationally necessary, other stores within the county or district.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and help shoppers find products.
• Process sales transactions using a computerized cash register.
• Unload shipments, stock shelves, and set up product displays.
• Receive, assemble, and pack wholesale customer orders and load them into vehicles.
• Lift and handle products safely, including lifting from the floor or overhead.
• Stand for extended periods.
• Keep the store clean and organized.
• Use scanners, box cutters, dollies, carts, hand trucks, and pallet jacks.
• Follow legal guidelines to ensure alcohol is sold only to customers legally permitted to purchase it.
• Work rotating shifts during the week and on weekends, including daytime and evening hours, as scheduled.
