About The Position

A part-time Sales Associate drives sales and customer relationships by providing excellent customer service and using effective selling techniques. The role performs daily store functions, including product merchandising and sales, customer relations, and store maintenance. Customer service, sales, and teamwork are central to the position. The associate works in a fast-paced retail environment and may be assigned other duties.

Requirements

• Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Excellent command of English to communicate effectively with management, customers, and coworkers.
• Basic knowledge of fashion and style trends, and a desire to work with customers in a retail setting.
• Problem-solving, analytical, detail-orientation, flexibility, communication, and interpersonal skills to support customer service, inventory control, merchandise transport, and store maintenance.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases and in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with flexibility.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Use basic fashion and trend knowledge to recommend appropriate merchandise, meet customer needs, and build customer relationships while maintaining DTLR standards.
• Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
• Provide each customer with a positive, energetic, and outgoing impression, and maintain an enthusiastic attitude toward the job and company.
• Comply with company policies and participate in service training and product programs.
• Follow visual standards, complete daily restocking, and maintain adequate size runs according to visual directions.
• Assist in preventing employee and customer theft.
• Help maintain a neat and orderly sales environment and keep the store organized as directed by store management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
