About The Position

The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board is hiring part-time Sales Associates, also referred to as Intermittent Liquor Store Clerks, for its Fine Wine & Good Spirits stores. The role is customer-facing and involves helping shoppers, processing sales, stocking and displaying products, and preparing wholesale customer orders. Employees work in a team-oriented retail environment and must follow legal requirements for alcohol sales. Positions are permanent and part-time. The store is located within Seven Fields Giant Eagle; employees may also be assigned to other stores within the county or district based on operational needs. Telework is not available. The position offers Affordable Care Act/Bronze Plan medical benefits from the first day of employment, with opportunities for career advancement and experience. Work hours vary, with a minimum of 13 hours per week and the opportunity to work up to 32 hours per week. Preferred availability is 30–32 hours weekly, generally in 4–6.5-hour shifts on a rotating schedule that includes weekdays and weekends, daytime and evening hours. Applicants must be at least 18, meet Pennsylvania residency requirements, be able to perform the essential job functions, and pass a background investigation. Applicants with a felony conviction within the previous ten years are ineligible under the Pennsylvania Liquor Code; other criminal convictions are reviewed case by case.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and help shoppers find products.
• Process sales transactions using a computerized cash register.
• Unload shipments, stock shelves, and set up product displays.
• Receive, assemble, and pack wholesale customer orders and load them into vehicles.
• Safely lift products weighing 30–50 pounds, and occasionally up to 60 pounds, including lifting overhead or from a squatting position.
• Stand for extended periods.
• Keep the store clean and organized.
• Use scanners, box cutters, dollies, carts, hand trucks, and pallet jacks.
• Follow legal guidelines to ensure alcohol is sold only to customers legally permitted to buy it.
• Work according to store operational needs, including possible assignments at other stores within the county or district.
