About The Position

As a Financial Relationship Banker, you help consumer and business customers achieve their financial goals by identifying their needs and recommending appropriate deposit, loan, and other banking products and services. You are responsible for retaining and growing customer relationships while providing excellent service and resolving issues. The role is based in an office branch setting and requires maintaining knowledge of the bank’s products, services, technology, and policies, as well as following operational, security, risk, and regulatory procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of customer service and sales experience in banking, financial services, goal-driven retail sales, or business-to-business sales; military service in an administration, contracting, civil affairs, or similar role is also accepted.
• Ability to build, deepen, and retain relationships.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfort with technology such as mobile services and online banking services.
• Knowledge of consumer and business deposit products.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree.
• At least 1 year of customer service and sales experience in banking, financial services, goal-driven retail sales, or business-to-business sales.
• Demonstrated acumen in banking, sales, investments, consumer lending, business banking, business lending, customer service, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and effectively resolve customer issues.
• Proactively identify opportunities to grow customer relationships through pre-set appointments, Centers of Influence, a disciplined sales process, the new customer follow-up program, and referrals from customers, colleagues, and partners.
• Educate and refer customers to other areas of the bank to deepen relationships and build internal partnerships.
• Educate customers on optimizing their use of online, mobile, and ATM banking technology.
• Maintain knowledge of products, services, technology, and policies.
• Adhere to operational, security, risk, and regulatory policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
