About The Position
A Part-Time Sales Associate drives selling efforts and customer relationships by excelling in customer service and selling techniques. The role performs daily store functions, including product merchandising and sales, customer relations, and store maintenance. Customer service, sales, and teamwork are central to the position. The associate helps customers find appropriate merchandise while maintaining DTLR standards and supports shipments, restocking, pricing, visual standards, inventory presentation, loss prevention, and a neat, organized sales environment. Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- Previous retail or customer service work experience is preferred but not necessary.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Excellent command of English to communicate effectively with management, customers, and coworkers.
- Basic fashion and style trend knowledge and a desire to work with customers in a retail setting.
- Problem-solving, analytical, detail-orientation, flexibility, communication, and interpersonal skills to provide customer service and support inventory control, merchandise transport, and store maintenance.
- Able to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, and push or pull up to 50 pounds.
- Able to work extended hours during critical project phases and in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with flexibility.
- Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities
- Use fashion and trend knowledge to meet customer needs by selling appropriate merchandise, maintaining store standards, and building customer relationships.
- Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
- Present a positive, energetic, and outgoing impression to customers and maintain a positive, enthusiastic attitude toward the job and company.
- Comply with company policies.
- Participate in service training and product programs.
- Follow visual standards, complete daily restocking, and maintain adequate size runs according to visual directions.
- Help eliminate employee and customer theft.
- Maintain a neat and orderly sales environment.
- Help keep the store organized as directed by store management.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
