About The Position

The Sales Associate provides quality customer service and drives product sales. This role requires knowledge of each product area or department, adherence to the company’s policies, procedures, and visual standards, and active promotion of sales and merchandise. The Sales Associate represents the organization and brand by creating a distinctive customer experience that helps acquire and retain customers. The position supports day-to-day store operations, including completing work lists, cleanup lists, weekly shipments, and store maintenance. The Sales Associate works toward sales goals, communicates merchandise and operational concerns to store management, attends staff meetings and tech clinics, and helps protect company assets and financial information. This role has no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

0–2 years of customer service experience.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Self-starter with initiative to take on important tasks without being asked.
Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks accurately.
Team player passionate about outstanding customer service and selling merchandise.

Responsibilities

Provide extraordinary customer service, including greeting customers as they enter and assisting multiple customers during peak periods.
Promote and sell the organization’s services and merchandise.
Set goals to improve selling skills and track overall sales.
Follow company policies, procedures, and standards in the operations, personnel, visual, and customer service manuals, as well as company memos.
Assist with daily store operations, including work lists, cleanup lists, weekly shipments, and store maintenance.
Present merchandise to promote and sell products, using guidance in the product knowledge manual.
Achieve or exceed sales targets and goals.
Communicate merchandise needs, pricing concerns, and operational problems to store management.
Attend store staff meetings and tech clinics.
Protect company assets and financial information by following internal control procedures and notifying management or appropriate officials of potential fraud risks.
