About The Position

The Beach Shop Sales Associate carries out a variety of duties related to the operation of the Beach Shop. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, self-motivation, friendliness, and a strong commitment to member services. Responsibilities include serving Members, and performing administrative and clerical functions.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years retail experience preferably with men, women and children’s clothing.
• Ability to communicate in English effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Proficient in typing.
• Exceptional people and phone skills.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of PCs including Microsoft Office Software preferred.
• Northstar experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Opens and Closes Retail Shop. Adheres to all opening and closing procedures in the NorthStar system.
• Greets members and makes them feel comfortable. Interacts with members, guests and family members offering assistance and responding to queries about product and purchases.
• Provides recommendations according to members' needs and preferences.
• Locates merchandise for members and places orders where necessary.
• Introduces and familiarizes with promotions and new merchandise.
• Operates P.O.S. system for member charges along with credit card transactions. Sales and refunds.
• Stays up to date with sales trends and product knowledge for better service and achievement of Beach shop sales goals.
