About The Position
A Part-Time Sales Associate drives sales efforts and customer relationships by delivering strong customer service and applying selling techniques. The role performs daily store functions, including product merchandising and sales, customer relations, and store maintenance. Key aspects of the position are customer service, sales, and teamwork. The associate helps customers find appropriate merchandise while upholding DTLR standards and building customer relationships, and helps maintain an organized, orderly sales environment.
Requirements
- Previous work experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not required.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Excellent command of English to communicate effectively with management, customers, and other employees.
- Basic fashion and style trend knowledge and a desire to work with customers in a retail setting.
- Problem-solving and analytical abilities, detail orientation, flexibility, communication skills, and interpersonal skills to provide excellent customer service, accurate inventory control, merchandise transport, and store maintenance.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases and in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with flexibility.
- Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities
- Demonstrate basic fashion and trend knowledge and sell appropriate merchandise to satisfy customer needs while maintaining DTLR standards and building relationships.
- Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
- Present a positive, energetic, and outgoing impression to customers, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude toward the job and company.
- Comply with company policies.
- Participate in service training and product programs.
- Follow visual standards, complete daily restocking, and ensure adequate size runs are represented according to visual directions.
- Help eliminate employee and customer theft.
- Maintain a neat and orderly sales environment.
- Help organize the store as directed by store management.
- Perform other assigned duties.
