About The Position
As a Sales Associate, you’ll deliver outstanding customer service throughout your shift while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming store environment and supporting sales and profitability goals. The role involves serving customers, preparing food and beverages, operating the register, supporting store operations and security, stocking merchandise, and maintaining the store and surrounding areas. Associates are expected to be friendly, reliable, and committed to exceeding customer expectations while demonstrating honesty, trust, customer focus, teamwork, and accountability. Employment is at-will, and schedules and work locations may be adjusted to meet operational needs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Preferred age of 18 years or older.
- Previous experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license preferred.
- Basic math proficiency for cash transactions, shift reports, and vendor check-ins.
- Ability to clearly assess and validate customer identification.
- Ability to understand operating instructions for lottery, point-of-sale systems, and other equipment.
- Tolerance of exposure to gasoline fumes and cleaning products.

Responsibilities
- Provide prompt, friendly, and courteous service to every customer.
- Prepare fresh food and made-to-order items according to company recipes and standards.
- Promote My Crosby’s Rewards and help customers enroll and access offers.
- Suggest additional items at checkout and communicate effectively with team members and leadership.
- Follow company policies, procedures, food safety standards, operational expectations, scheduled shifts, and dress code guidelines.
- Report issues related to sales, pricing, or store operations; handle customer concerns professionally and escalate when needed.
- Process transactions and refunds accurately, balance and report register activity at the end of each shift, report cash discrepancies over $5.00, and follow cash-handling and register procedures.
- Monitor inventory, help prevent loss, follow cash-control and security procedures, notify management of deliveries and suspicious activity, and protect company assets.
- Keep shelves, coolers, and displays stocked and organized; ensure items are properly priced; and maintain coffee, fountain drinks, and other high-demand items.
- Maintain a clean and safe store inside and out, including cleaning floors, restrooms, food areas, and equipment, and keeping parking lots, sidewalks, and fueling areas tidy.
- Identify and address safety hazards and promptly report maintenance issues.
