About The Position

As a Sales Associate, you will deliver outstanding customer experiences during your shift and help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming store while supporting sales and profitability goals. The role involves customer service and sales, preparing fresh food and made-to-order items, operating registers, following food safety and company procedures, monitoring inventory and security, maintaining product displays, and cleaning the store and surrounding areas. Associates are expected to be friendly, reliable, and committed to exceeding customer expectations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Preferred age of 18 years or older.
• Previous experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
• Basic math proficiency to handle cash transactions, shift reports, and vendor check-ins.
• Ability to clearly assess and validate customer identification.
• Ability to understand operating instructions for lottery, point-of-sale systems, and other equipment.
• Tolerance of exposure to gasoline fumes and cleaning products.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly, and courteous service to every customer.
• Prepare fresh food and made-to-order items according to company recipes and standards.
• Promote My Crosby’s Rewards and assist customers with enrollment and offers.
• Suggest additional items at checkout.
• Communicate effectively with team members and leadership, and demonstrate the company values of Honesty, Trust, Customer Focus, Teamwork, and Accountability.
• Follow company policies, procedures, and food safety standards; stay up to date on company operations and expectations.
• Work scheduled shifts and follow dress code guidelines.
• Report issues related to sales, pricing, or store operations.
• Handle customer concerns professionally and escalate them when needed.
• Accurately process transactions and refunds; balance and report register activity at the end of each shift; report cash discrepancies over $5.00; and follow cash-handling and register procedures.
• Help monitor inventory and prevent loss; follow cash control and store security procedures; notify management of deliveries and suspicious activity; and protect company assets.
• Keep shelves, coolers, and displays stocked and organized, ensure items are properly priced, and prepare and maintain coffee, fountain drinks, and other high-demand items.
• Maintain a clean and safe store environment inside and out, including cleaning floors, restrooms, food areas, and equipment; keep parking lots, sidewalks, and fueling areas tidy; identify safety hazards and promptly report maintenance issues.
