About The Position

As a Sales Associate, you’ll deliver outstanding customer experiences throughout your shift while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming store environment and supporting sales and profitability goals. The role serves customers, prepares fresh food and made-to-order items, promotes rewards enrollment and offers, and supports daily store operations, cash handling, safety, merchandising, and cleanliness. Associates are expected to be friendly, reliable, and committed to exceeding customer expectations while demonstrating honesty, trust, customer focus, teamwork, and accountability.

This position is with Reid Group and is at-will; the job description does not constitute an employment contract. Duties and requirements may be revised as circumstances change, and schedules or physical locations may be adjusted based on operational needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Preferred age of 18 years or older.
• Previous experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
• Basic math proficiency for cash transactions, shift reports, and vendor check-ins.
• Ability to clearly assess and validate customer identification.
• Ability to understand operating instructions for lottery, point-of-sale systems, and other equipment.
• Tolerance for exposure to gasoline fumes and cleaning products.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly, and courteous service to every customer.
• Prepare fresh food and made-to-order items according to company recipes and standards.
• Promote My Crosby’s Rewards and assist customers with enrollment and offers.
• Suggest additional items at checkout.
• Communicate effectively with team members and leadership and demonstrate company values.
• Follow company policies, procedures, and food safety standards, and stay current on operational expectations.
• Work scheduled shifts and follow dress code guidelines.
• Report issues related to sales, pricing, or store operations.
• Handle customer concerns professionally and escalate them when needed.
• Accurately process transactions and refunds; balance and report register activity at the end of each shift.
• Report cash discrepancies over $5.00 and follow cash-handling and register procedures.
• Help monitor inventory and prevent loss; follow cash-control and store-security procedures.
• Notify management of deliveries and suspicious activity and protect company assets.
• Keep shelves, coolers, and displays stocked and organized, ensure items are properly priced, and maintain coffee, fountain drinks, and other high-demand items.
• Maintain a clean and safe store environment inside and out, including floors, restrooms, food areas, equipment, parking lots, sidewalks, and fueling areas.
• Identify and address safety hazards and promptly report maintenance issues.
