About The Position

The Part-Time Sales Associate drives selling efforts and customer relationships by providing excellent customer service and using effective selling techniques. The role performs daily store functions, including product merchandising and sales, customer relations, and store maintenance. Customer service, sales, and teamwork are central to the position. The associate works in a fast-paced retail environment and must have reliable transportation.

Requirements

Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Excellent command of English to communicate effectively with management, customers, and coworkers.
Basic fashion and style trend knowledge and an interest in working with customers in a retail setting.
Problem-solving, analytical, detail-oriented, flexible, communication, and interpersonal abilities to support customer service, inventory control, merchandise transport, and store maintenance.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases and in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Use fashion and trend knowledge to identify customer needs, sell appropriate merchandise, meet DTLR standards, and build customer relationships.
Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
Provide each customer with a positive, energetic, and outgoing impression and maintain an enthusiastic attitude toward the job and company.
Comply with company policies.
Participate in service training and product programs.
Follow visual standards, complete daily restocking, and maintain adequate size runs according to visual directions.
Help prevent employee and customer theft.
Maintain a neat and orderly sales environment.
Keep the store organized as directed by store management.
Perform other duties as assigned.
