About The Position

CoreCivic is hiring a Correctional Officer to provide security, care, and direct supervision of inmates or residents in a secure correctional facility. The officer supervises people in housing units, during meals and recreation, on work assignments, and throughout other facility activities. The role is responsible for maintaining order and security and may require the use of weapons or force to maintain discipline and order. Officers may be assigned to posts such as armory/key control, housing units, kitchen, medical, or visitation. Employees must be available to work any hours and any shift. CoreCivic provides paid training and, where applicable, pays for state non-commissioned security officer licensing. Military service may qualify candidates for positions requiring criminal justice experience.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED certification, or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to complete required training.
• Available to work any hours and any shift.
• At least 18 years of age.
