About The Position
CoreCivic is hiring a Correctional Officer to provide security, care, and direct supervision of inmates or residents in a secure correctional facility. The officer supervises individuals in housing units, during meals and recreation, on work assignments, and throughout other facility activities. The role may require the use of weapons or force to maintain discipline and order. Officers are responsible for maintaining order and security and must be able to work any shift. Assignments may include the armory and key control, housing units, kitchen, medical areas, and visitation. CoreCivic provides paid training and, where applicable, pays the cost of required state security-officer licensing. Military service may qualify candidates for positions requiring criminal justice experience.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED certification, or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to complete required training.
- Availability to work any hours and any shift.
- At least 18 years of age.
