About The Position

A Part-Time Sales Associate drives sales efforts and customer relationships by delivering excellent customer service and using effective selling techniques. The role performs daily store functions, including product merchandising and sales, customer relations, and store maintenance. Customer service, sales, and teamwork are central to the position. The associate also supports shipments, restocking, pricing, visual standards, inventory presentation, theft prevention, and maintaining an organized sales environment.

Requirements

• Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Excellent command of English to communicate effectively with management, customers, and coworkers.
• Basic knowledge of fashion and style trends and a desire to work with customers in a retail setting.
• Problem-solving, analytical, detail-oriented, flexible, communication, and interpersonal skills to provide customer service and support inventory control, merchandise transport, and store maintenance.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases and in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with flexibility.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Display basic fashion and trend knowledge and recommend appropriate merchandise to meet customer needs while building relationships and maintaining DTLR standards.
• Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
• Provide each customer with a positive, energetic, and outgoing impression, maintaining an enthusiastic attitude toward the job and company.
• Comply with company policies.
• Participate in service training and product programs.
• Follow visual standards, complete daily restocking, and maintain adequate size runs according to visual directions.
• Help prevent employee and customer theft.
• Maintain a neat and orderly sales environment.
• Keep the store organized as directed by store management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
