About The Position

The Part-Time Sales Associate supports DTLR’s selling efforts and customer relationships by providing excellent customer service and using effective selling techniques. The role performs daily store functions, including product merchandising and sales, customer relations, and store maintenance. Customer service, sales, and teamwork are central to the position. Associates are expected to follow company policies and visual standards, maintain an orderly sales environment, and help prevent theft.

Requirements

• Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
• Excellent command of English to communicate effectively with management, customers, and other employees.
• Basic fashion and style trend knowledge and a desire to work with customers in a retail setting.
• Problem-solving, analytical, detail-orientation, flexibility, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to provide excellent customer service and perform accurate inventory control, merchandise transport, and store maintenance.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases and in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with flexibility.
• Reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous work experience in retail or customer service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Use basic fashion and trend knowledge to identify appropriate merchandise for customers, meet their needs, and build customer relationships.
• Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
• Present a positive, energetic, and outgoing impression to customers and maintain an enthusiastic attitude toward the job and company.
• Comply with company policies.
• Participate in service training and product programs.
• Follow visual standards, complete daily restocking, and ensure adequate size runs in accordance with visual directions.
• Assist in preventing employee and customer theft.
• Help maintain a neat, orderly, and organized sales environment as directed by store management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
