About The Position

As a Sales Associate, you are the first point of contact for families shopping Carter’s brands. You welcome customers, help them find products for babies and young children, and support them through important moments in their parenting journey. The role takes place in a welcoming and inclusive retail environment and involves assisting customers, completing sales transactions, replenishing merchandise, and helping maintain a safe and clean store. Availability may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.

Requirements

• Positive, solutions-oriented mindset.
• Demonstrated customer service and customer engagement skills.
• Effective, professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks at once.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds as needed, with frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and climb up and down a ladder.
• Availability that may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and provide information and assistance with product styles, features, and benefits.
• Proactively resolve customer issues and assist multiple customers in a busy retail environment.
• Support omnichannel shopping as needed to provide a positive customer experience.
• Execute and expedite point-of-sale and register transactions.
• Complete floor replenishment and shipment tasks as needed.
• Explain current promotional events and the brand loyalty program, including credit offerings.
• Help minimize store loss by providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a safe, clean store.
