About The Position

The Sales Associate provides quality customer service and drives product sales. This role requires knowledge of products across store departments, adherence to the visual manual and other company policies and standards, and active promotion of sales and promotions. The Sales Associate represents the organization and brand by creating a distinctive customer experience that helps acquire and retain customers, and is passionate about customer service and merchandise promotion. The position assists with daily store operations, including work lists, cleanup lists, weekly shipments, and store maintenance. It has no supervisory responsibilities and reports to the Store Manager.

Requirements

0–2 years of customer service experience.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Self-starter with initiative to take on important tasks without being asked.
Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and precisely.
Team player passionate about outstanding customer service and selling merchandise.

Responsibilities

Provide extraordinary customer service, including assisting customers as they enter the store and helping multiple customers during peak periods.
Promote and sell the organization’s services and merchandise.
Set goals to develop selling skills and track overall sales.
Follow company policies, procedures, and standards described in the operations, personnel, visual, and customer service manuals, as well as company memos.
Assist with daily store operations, including work lists, cleanup lists, weekly shipments, and store maintenance.
Present merchandise to promote and sell goods, using guidance in the product knowledge manual.
Achieve or exceed sales targets and goals.
Identify and communicate merchandise needs, pricing concerns, and operational problems to store management.
Attend store staff meetings and tech clinics.
Protect company assets and financial information by ensuring internal control procedures are accurate and effective, and report potential fraud risks to management or appropriate officials.
