About The Position

As a Customer Service Associate at Lowe’s, you provide friendly, professional customer service and help shoppers find products and services for their home improvement needs. This position is in the Plumbing department and is identified as a closing role. Associates welcome customers, answer questions, assist with merchandise, and help ensure that orders and deliveries are handled accurately. Daily responsibilities may vary by department and store needs. The role does not require regular travel, although occasional travel to meetings, training, or neighboring stores may be needed. Work may take place indoors or outdoors and can involve changing weather, noise, and moving equipment or objects.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
• At least 6 months of experience using common retail technology, such as smartphones and tablets.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
• Ability to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary for the job.
• Ability to lift at least 25 pounds unassisted, or more than 25 pounds with or without an accommodation.

Nice To Haves

• At least 6 months of retail and/or customer service experience.
• Bilingual skills.
• Certification in a trade related to the department, such as plumbing.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers, answer questions, and provide friendly, professional customer service.
• Help customers locate and handle merchandise.
• Restock shelves by identifying empty areas and replenishing merchandise.
• Accurately process orders and deliveries so customers receive merchandise as expected and on time.
• Cross-train in other areas of the store to support customer service.
• Prepare department merchandise according to customer needs, such as cutting and threading pipe.
• Guide customers through shopping or checkout.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
