About The Position

The Part-Time Sales Associate supports DTLR’s selling efforts and customer relationships by providing excellent customer service and using effective selling techniques. The role includes daily store functions such as product merchandising, sales, customer relations, and store maintenance. Customer service, sales, and teamwork are central to the position.

Requirements

Be able to perform the essential duties satisfactorily.
Have an excellent command of English to communicate effectively with management, customers, and other employees.
Have basic fashion and style trend knowledge and a desire to work with customers in a retail setting.
Possess problem-solving and analytical abilities, attention to detail, flexibility, communication skills, and interpersonal skills to provide customer service and support inventory control, merchandise transport, and store maintenance.
Be able to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
Be able to work extended hours during critical project phases and in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with flexibility.
Have reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not necessary.
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

Use basic fashion and trend knowledge to identify customer needs, sell appropriate merchandise, maintain DTLR standards, and build customer relationships.
Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
Create a positive, energetic, and outgoing impression for customers and demonstrate enthusiasm toward the job and company.
Comply with company policies.
Participate in service training and product programs.
Follow visual standards, complete daily restocking, and maintain adequate size runs according to visual directions.
Assist in preventing employee and customer theft.
Help maintain a neat and orderly sales environment.
Keep the store organized as directed by store management.
Perform other duties as assigned.
