About The Position

The Part-Time Sales Associate drives sales and customer relationships through excellent customer service and selling techniques. The role performs daily store functions, including product merchandising and sales, customer relations, and store maintenance. Customer service, sales, and teamwork are the most important aspects of the position. The associate is expected to maintain DTLR standards, follow visual directions, support inventory and store organization, and contribute to a positive shopping experience.

Requirements

Excellent command of English to communicate effectively with management, customers, and coworkers.
Basic fashion and style trend knowledge and a desire to work with customers in a retail setting.
Problem-solving, analytical, detail-orientation, flexibility, communication, and interpersonal skills to support customer service, inventory control, merchandise transport, and store maintenance.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases and in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with flexibility.
Reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

Previous retail or customer service work experience is preferred but not necessary.
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

Use fashion and trend knowledge to recommend appropriate merchandise, meet customer needs, and build customer relationships.
Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
Create a positive, energetic, and outgoing impression for customers and maintain an enthusiastic attitude toward the job and company.
Comply with company policies and participate in service training and product programs.
Follow visual standards, complete daily restocking, and maintain adequate size runs according to visual directions.
Assist in preventing employee and customer theft.
Help maintain a neat and orderly sales environment and keep the store organized as directed by store management.
Perform other duties as assigned.
