About The Position

The Sales Associate provides friendly, genuine, and professional customer service, putting customers first and making their shopping experience engaging and interactive. The role involves sharing product knowledge face to face and over the phone, helping customers select gifts, cards, and gift wrap, and creating attractive store displays. Associates support store services and initiatives while demonstrating initiative and enthusiasm for the company’s products and people.

The position is temporary and involves working on the selling floor, including prolonged standing, repetitive bending, lifting, and climbing. The posting describes benefits that vary according to scheduled weekly hours and location. The starting hourly rate is $15.25.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming environment by engaging with customers and providing friendly, genuine service to meet their needs.
• Ask open-ended questions, use product knowledge to make thoughtful recommendations, and actively sell.
• Support visual merchandising and replenishment standards to maintain a neat, tidy, shoppable, and inviting store.
• Promote campaigns and services, including new item launches, promotions, membership, and ship-to-home.
• Use training and communication tools to continuously learn about products and services and share that knowledge with customers and the store team.
• Protect company assets by following inventory and loss prevention standards and completing inventories and related initiatives properly.
• Work on the selling floor, which requires physical activity such as prolonged standing, repetitive bending, lifting, and climbing.
• Accept responsibility and complete assignments correctly and carefully.
• Support company goals and initiatives and work as a team player.
