About The Position

GNC Sales Associates provide a welcoming, customer-focused shopping experience and help customers find products that fit their needs and goals. They represent GNC’s “Live Well” philosophy and brand, using product knowledge to advise customers and recommend meaningful solutions. When not assisting customers, they restock merchandise, maintain visual merchandising and store appearance, fulfill online orders, and perform cleaning duties. This is a part-time hourly position with varied work hours and days to meet store needs.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to stand or walk for up to eight hours a day.
• Ability to frequently reach, bend, twist, and perform repetitive hand-to-finger motions.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds frequently and up to 40 pounds occasionally, and push or pull up to 20 pounds.
• Ability to climb ladders, reach, and bend.
• Ability to work in temperatures ranging from 50 to 85 degrees, particularly in stock room areas.
• Ability to use a computer for up to 60% of the workday.
• Ability to work varied hours and days, including mornings or nights to open or close the store, weekends, and major U.S. holidays when the store is open.
• Genuine interest in interacting with customers and helping them select products.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome customers and create a welcoming store environment.
• Interact with customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate products using product knowledge.
• Work toward achieving and exceeding store and personal sales and productivity goals.
• Fulfill online orders accurately and on time in accordance with company guidelines.
• Build product knowledge and stay current on nutritional, wellness, and fitness news.
• Support store management with opening, closing, and daily store operations.
• Handle cash, inventory counts, and deposits, and maintain the store’s appearance.
• Restock products, maintain visual merchandising, and perform cleaning duties.
