About The Position

The Sales Associate creates a memorable shopping experience for customers and helps guide them through beauty-related purchases, including hair color, cosmetics, skin care, and nails. Cosmoprof provides product knowledge and training; the associate uses that knowledge and their personality to advise customers and support their shopping journey. The role also involves maintaining a professional store environment, communicating inventory issues, and demonstrating Cosmoprof’s culture values. A range of work schedules and hours is available to suit different needs, though associates must be available to meet the business’s scheduling needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be available to meet the scheduling needs of the business.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with customers, co-workers, and management.
• Ability to apply knowledge gained through product training to support customer service.
• Ability to read and explain product labels.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, occasionally while on a ladder, with or without accommodation.
• The position involves long periods of standing and walking, recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities, and recurring lifting of moderately heavy items such as shipment or record boxes.
• The position involves working around moving parts, carts, or machines, and may occasionally include exposure to irritant chemicals, fumes, and odors.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of retail sales or customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with customers and inspire loyalty.
• Recommend additional and complementary products.
• Inform customers about current promotions and events.
• Set up advertising displays and arrange merchandise to highlight sales and promotional events.
• Inform customers about the Loyalty program and enroll them in it.
• Complete transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain a professional store environment and communicate inventory issues.
• Demonstrate Cosmoprof Culture Values.
• Use product knowledge to support customer service.
• Follow directions and perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.
