About The Position
The Photographer/Sales Associate is responsible for providing guests and customers with a fun and exciting experience while delivering sales and service. The role includes attracting customers to the store, completing sales transactions and assisting with refunds or exchanges, taking and processing pictures, and supporting store operations. Associates maintain the store and their personal appearance, work as part of a team, handle register opening and closing as assigned, follow record-keeping and cash-handling procedures, and perform routine equipment maintenance and other assigned duties. Work environments vary by location. Some work may take place in small, confined spaces. Indoor stores are temperature-controlled and may be noisy; outdoor stores are exposed to weather conditions including heat, sunlight, cold, and humidity. Many locations may be loud or noisy. The job requires standing and walking for extended periods, frequently using steps, reaching, bending, stooping, twisting, kneeling, and carrying a camera weighing approximately two pounds on a neck or wrist strap. It also involves lifting supply boxes weighing up to 25 pounds with assistance, manual dexterity, and the ability to hear, speak understandably, and project one's voice over a crowd.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods and frequently walk up and down steps.
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, twist, and kneel.
- Ability to carry a camera weighing approximately two pounds on a neck or wrist strap.
- Ability to lift boxes of supplies weighing up to 25 pounds with assistance.
- Manual dexterity.
- Ability to hear and speak understandably and project voice over a crowd.
Responsibilities
- Attract customers and guests into the store and encourage purchases.
- Collect payments according to company procedures for checks and credit card authorizations.
- Assist customers and guests with refunds and exchanges tactfully and according to company procedures.
- Take pictures using proper techniques and methods.
- Process pictures correctly.
- Maintain an attractive, clean store and professional personal appearance.
- Work cooperatively with other employees as a team.
- Open and close the register as assigned.
- Follow proper record-keeping and cash-handling procedures.
- Perform routine maintenance and upkeep of equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned or necessary.
