About The Position
The Part-Time Sales Associate drives sales and customer relationships by providing strong customer service and using effective selling techniques. The role performs daily store functions, including product merchandising and sales, customer relations, and store maintenance. Customer service, sales, and teamwork are central to the position. The associate works to maintain DTLR standards, visual presentation, inventory organization, and a neat sales environment while complying with company policies and supporting loss prevention.
Requirements
- Previous retail or customer service work experience is preferred but not required.
- Excellent command of English to communicate effectively with management, customers, and other employees.
- Basic fashion and style trend knowledge and a desire to work with customers in a retail setting.
- Problem-solving, analytical, detail-orientation, flexibility, communication, and interpersonal skills to support customer service, inventory control, merchandise transport, and store maintenance.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases and to work flexibly in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Reliable transportation.
Nice To Haves

Responsibilities
- Use basic fashion and trend knowledge to recommend appropriate merchandise, meet customer needs, and build customer relationships while maintaining DTLR standards.
- Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
- Provide customers with a positive, energetic, and outgoing impression and maintain a positive, enthusiastic attitude toward the job and company.
- Comply with all company policies.
- Participate in service training and product programs.
- Follow visual standards, complete daily restocking, and ensure adequate size runs are represented according to visual directions.
- Assist in preventing employee and customer theft.
- Help maintain a neat and orderly sales environment.
- Help keep the store organized as directed by store management.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
