About The Position

A part-time Sales Associate drives sales and customer relationships by providing strong customer service and using effective selling techniques. The role performs daily store functions, including product merchandising and sales, customer relations, and store maintenance. Customer service, sales, and teamwork are central to the position. The associate also helps maintain DTLR’s visual and store standards, supports inventory and shipments, and works in a fast-paced retail environment.

Requirements

Excellent command of English to communicate effectively with management, customers, and other employees.
Basic fashion and style trend knowledge and a desire to work with customers in a retail setting.
Problem-solving and analytical abilities, attention to detail, flexibility, communication skills, and interpersonal skills to provide customer service and support inventory control, merchandise transport, and store maintenance.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, and push or pull up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases and in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with flexibility.
Reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

Previous retail or customer service work experience is preferred but not necessary.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate basic fashion and trend knowledge and recommend merchandise that meets customers’ needs while maintaining DTLR standards and building relationships.
Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
Provide each customer with a positive, energetic, and outgoing impression, maintaining a positive and enthusiastic attitude toward the job and company.
Comply with all company policies.
Participate in service training and product programs.
Follow visual standards, complete daily restocking, and ensure adequate size runs are represented according to visual directions.
Assist in preventing employee and customer theft.
Help maintain a neat and orderly sales environment.
Keep the store organized as directed by store management.
Perform other duties as assigned.
