About The Position

The Sales Associate works in Lowe’s Paint department during a closing shift, welcoming customers and helping them find products and services for home improvement projects. The role combines customer service with merchandise handling, replenishment, order processing, and department preparation. Associates may cross-train in other store areas and occasionally travel to meetings, training, or neighboring stores. Work may involve indoor and outdoor conditions, variable climates, noise, and moving equipment or objects.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
• At least 6 months of experience using common retail technology, such as smartphones and tablets.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
• Ability to perform duties involving prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary for the job.
• Ability to lift at least 25 pounds unassisted, or more than 25 pounds with or without an accommodation.

Nice To Haves

• At least 6 months of retail and/or customer service experience.
• Bilingual skills.
• Certification in a trade related to the department.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers, answer questions, and provide friendly, professional customer service.
• Help customers locate and handle merchandise.
• Replenish shelves by identifying empty areas and down stocking merchandise.
• Process orders and deliveries accurately and on time.
• Cross-functionally train in other store areas to support customer service.
• Prepare department merchandise based on customer needs, including tinting and mixing paint.
• Guide customers through shopping or checkout.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
