Full Time - Sales Associate - Flooring - Day
About The Position
As a Customer Service Associate in the Flooring department, you welcome customers to Lowe’s and help them find products and services for their home improvement needs. You provide friendly, professional service, answer questions, assist with product selection and handling, and help ensure customers’ needs are met. The work also includes organizing and replenishing merchandise, processing orders and deliveries, preparing merchandise for customers, and supporting other store areas as needed. The role is based in a retail environment where conditions may include indoor and outdoor weather exposure, variable temperatures, noise, and moving equipment.
Requirements
- At least 6 months of experience using a computer to input, access, modify, or output information.
- At least 6 months of experience using common retail technology, such as smartphones and tablets.
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
- Ability to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform the job.
- Ability to lift at least 25 pounds unassisted, or over 25 pounds with or without an accommodation.
Nice To Haves
- At least 6 months of retail and/or customer service experience.
- Bilingual skills.
- Certification in a trade related to the department, such as hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, or lumber/building materials.
Responsibilities
- Welcome customers, answer questions, and provide friendly, professional customer service.
- Help customers locate, select, and handle merchandise.
- Down stock merchandise by identifying empty shelf areas and replenishing supplies.
- Process orders and deliveries accurately so customers receive merchandise as expected and on time.
- Cross-functionally train in other areas of the store to support customer service.
- Prepare department merchandise according to customer needs, such as cutting or bundling materials.
- Guide customers through shopping or checkout.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
