Full Time - Sales Associate - Flooring - Day
About The Position
The Sales Associate works in the Flooring department at Lowe’s and provides customer service by welcoming customers, answering questions, helping them find and select merchandise, and guiding them through shopping or checkout. The associate assists with handling and replenishing merchandise, processes orders and deliveries accurately, and prepares merchandise based on customer needs. Associates may be cross-functionally trained in other areas of the store. The role involves prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities needed to perform the work, as well as occasional merchandise loading and exposure to varying indoor and outdoor conditions.
Requirements
- At least 6 months of experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
- At least 6 months of experience using common retail technology, such as smartphones and tablets.
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
- Ability to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties.
- Ability to lift at least 25 pounds unassisted, or more than 25 pounds with or without an accommodation.
Nice To Haves
- At least 6 months of retail and/or customer service experience.
- Bilingual skills.
- Certification in a trade related to the department.
Responsibilities
- Welcome customers, answer questions, and provide friendly, professional customer service.
- Assist customers with locating and handling merchandise.
- Down stock merchandise by identifying empty shelf areas and replenishing supplies.
- Process orders and deliveries accurately so customers receive merchandise as expected and on time.
- Cross-functionally train in other store areas to help deliver customer service.
- Prepare merchandise in the department based on customer needs.
- Guide customers through shopping or checkout.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
