About The Position

The Sales Associate works in the Flooring department, welcoming Lowe’s customers and helping them find products and services for home improvement projects. The role combines customer service with product assistance, merchandise handling, stocking, and order processing. Associates may receive cross-functional training and perform duties in other store areas. The position may involve occasional travel to meetings, training, or neighboring stores, and work in varying indoor and outdoor conditions and climates.

Requirements

At least 6 months of experience using a computer to input, access, modify, or output information.
At least 6 months of experience using common retail technology, such as smartphones and tablets.
Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
Ability to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary for the job.
Ability to lift at least 25 pounds unassisted, or lift more than 25 pounds with or without an accommodation.

Nice To Haves

At least 6 months of retail and/or customer service experience.
Bilingual skills.
Certification in a trade related to the department, such as hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, or lumber/building materials.

Responsibilities

Welcome customers, answer questions, and provide friendly, professional customer service.
Help customers locate, handle, and select merchandise.
Down stock merchandise by identifying empty shelf areas and replenishing supplies.
Accurately process orders and deliveries so customers receive merchandise as expected and on time.
Cross-functionally train in other store areas to support customer service.
Prepare department merchandise based on customer needs, such as cutting or bundling materials.
Guide customers through shopping or checkout.
Complete other duties as assigned.
