Sales Associate (Full-Time) - Hardware - Wabash, IN
About The Position
The Sales Associate assists customers throughout the retail store and provides excellent customer service. Duties may include greeting customers, answering product-related questions, cashier responsibilities, product assembly, housekeeping, and other duties assigned by the manager. Knowledge of and interest in hardware and accessories is preferred. The role reports directly to the Store Manager and has no direct supervisory authority. The listed pay range is $13.00–$15.00, depending on experience. The work takes place in a retail store environment with cold and warm conditions and an irregular work schedule.
Requirements
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Ability to frequently bend and twist.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of and interest in hardware and accessories.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and assist with customer service questions.
- Price merchandise and make price changes as requested by store management.
- Stock and face merchandise on shelves as requested by store management.
- Assist with receiving freight and organize incoming products as directed by store management.
- Assist with cycle counts.
- Answer incoming telephone calls and handle them appropriately.
- Handle customer transactions using the KCX cash register system.
- Handle cash accurately.
- Handle customer returns.
- Perform housekeeping duties.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
