Full Time - Sales Associate - Hardware - Day
About The Position
As a Customer Service Associate in Hardware, you welcome customers to Lowe’s and help them find the products and services that meet their home improvement needs. You provide friendly, professional assistance throughout the shopping experience, answer questions, locate and handle merchandise, and help customers shop or check out. You also replenish shelves, process orders and deliveries accurately, and prepare department merchandise for customer needs. Duties may vary by department, and associates may cross-train in other store areas. The role may involve occasional loading of merchandise and working in both indoor and outdoor conditions.
Requirements
- At least 6 months of experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
- At least 6 months of experience using common retail technology, such as smartphones and tablets.
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
- Ability to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary for the job.
- Ability to lift at least 25 pounds unassisted, or over 25 pounds with or without an accommodation.
Nice To Haves
- At least 6 months of retail and/or customer service experience.
- Bilingual skills.
- Certification in a trade related to the department, such as hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, or lumber/building materials.
Responsibilities
- Welcome customers, answer questions, and provide friendly, professional customer service.
- Assist customers with locating and handling merchandise.
- Down stock merchandise by identifying empty shelf areas and replenishing supplies.
- Accurately process orders and deliveries so customers receive merchandise as expected and on time.
- Cross-functionally train in other store areas to help deliver customer service.
- Prepare department merchandise to meet customer needs.
- Guide customers through shopping or checkout.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
