About The Position

The Sales Outfitter performs selling and customer-service activities, including greeting and acknowledging customers promptly and in a friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, and providing customers with information, assistance, and direction. The role supports a pleasant and productive shopping experience by demonstrating products, maintaining merchandise and displays, and helping customers make informed buying decisions. The associate performs tasks under general supervision, using established procedures and occasional independent judgment.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change for customers.
• Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and associates.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
• Ability to operate a computerized point-of-sale register system.
• Ability to stand and/or walk constantly during the shift.
• Ability to move objects up to 20 pounds constantly and occasionally move or lift objects up to 100 pounds or more, using a team lift as needed.
• Ability to occasionally climb ladders, stairs, or ramps; perform repetitive motions involving wrists, hands, or fingers; operate machinery, power tools, motor vehicles, or heavy equipment; work in tight or confined spaces; and work in noisy environments.

Responsibilities

• Support a strong commitment to customer service and ensure a pleasant, productive shopping experience for customers.
• Greet and acknowledge customers promptly and in a friendly manner; provide information, assistance, and direction.
• Demonstrate products to customers and make recommendations based on their needs.
• Maintain product knowledge through ongoing training and stay informed about advertised sales, pricing, and signage.
• Replenish and restock merchandise according to merchandising guidelines.
• Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and stocked with supplies.
• Promote programs including CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Use established procedures and occasional independent judgment to complete assignments, resolve problems, and recommend improvements to work procedures, policies, and practices.
