About The Position

The Sales Outfitter performs selling and customer service activities, including greeting customers promptly and in a friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, and providing customers with information, assistance, and direction. The role supports a pleasant and productive shopping experience by demonstrating products, maintaining merchandise and displays, and helping customers make informed buying decisions. The position operates under general supervision using established procedures, with occasional independent judgment when completing assignments.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change for customers.
• Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and associates.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
• Ability to operate a computerized point-of-sale register system.
• Ability to stand and/or walk constantly during the shift.
• Ability to occasionally ascend or descend ladders, stairs, ramps, or similar structures.
• Ability to occasionally repeat motions involving the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
• Ability to occasionally operate machinery, power tools, motor vehicles, or heavy equipment.
• Ability to move objects up to 20 pounds constantly and occasionally move or lift objects up to 100 pounds or more, using a team lift as needed.
• Ability to occasionally work in tight or confined spaces and noisy environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, prompt customer service and contribute to a pleasant shopping experience.
• Demonstrate products to customers and provide information, assistance, and direction.
• Identify and evaluate customer needs and recommend suitable products.
• Promote programs including CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.
• Replenish and restock merchandise according to merchandising guidelines.
• Maintain knowledge of products through ongoing product training.
• Stay informed about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signage.
• Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and stocked with supplies.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
• Make recommendations regarding work procedures, policies, and practices.
