About The Position

The Sales Outfitter performs selling and customer service activities, including greeting and acknowledging customers promptly and in a friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, and providing customers with information, assistance, and direction. The role supports a pleasant and productive shopping experience by demonstrating products, maintaining merchandise and displays, and helping customers make informed purchasing decisions. The Sales Outfitter works under general supervision and uses established procedures and occasional independent judgment to complete assignments.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change.
• Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and associates.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
• Ability to operate a computerized Point of Sale register system.
• Ability to stand and/or walk constantly during the shift.
• Ability to move objects up to 20 pounds constantly and occasionally move and lift objects up to 100 pounds or more using a team lift as needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet and acknowledge customers promptly and in a friendly manner.
• Provide information, assistance, and direction to customers while handling merchandise with care.
• Demonstrate products to customers and maintain product knowledge through ongoing training.
• Replenish and restock merchandise according to merchandising guidelines.
• Stay informed about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signage.
• Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and well stocked with supplies.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Help customers make buying decisions by identifying and evaluating their needs and recommending products.
• Promote programs including CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Use established procedures and occasional independent judgment to complete assignments; make recommendations about work procedures, policies, and practices when appropriate.
