About The Position

The Sales Associate/Cashier is responsible for maintaining customer service in accordance with company standards and generating sales. The role also supports housekeeping, merchandising, signing and pricing, point-of-sale operations, freight processing, and loss prevention while following company policies and store standards.

The position involves assisting customers in person and by phone, maintaining knowledge of products and promotions, communicating with associates by radio, and helping maintain merchandise displays and a clean store environment. The associate may also help in other departments and perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Proven written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt to rapidly changing work environments and shift priorities accordingly.
• Familiarity with operating a computer system and email.
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Greet and acknowledge every customer, answer questions, and help customers locate products.
• Answer incoming phone calls.
• Maintain constant radio communication with all associates.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of products sold by Coastal Farm.
• Stay aware of product knowledge information and merchandise promotions.
• Assist with floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance, and store housekeeping.
• Help in other departments when needed.
• Perform daily cleaning, including vacuuming, replacing full trash bags, and sweeping the department floor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
