About The Position

The Sales Associate provides fast, efficient, and friendly customer service. The role involves operating a cash register and handling customer transactions, maintaining store and food-service areas, stocking merchandise, and supporting store operations as assigned.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old in MI, NC, SC, TX, AZ, and CO, or at least 21 years old in all other states.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
Ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and be subject to a criminal history background check.

Responsibilities

Greet customers in a friendly manner, provide fast and efficient service, and thank them.
Ring up sales using an electronic cash register; receive money, provide correct change, and process refunds or merchandise exchanges.
Count the cash drawer at the beginning and end of a shift to assist with shift changes.
Use specialized equipment to process money orders, credit card purchases, checks, and lottery sales and redemptions.
Check identification for restricted sales.
Check and replenish food-service supplies, including cups, lids, condiments, napkins, straws, and stirrers.
Clean and sanitize service and food-service stocking equipment using the three-sink method.
Clean store areas and equipment, including countertops, microwaves, shelves, floors, windows, cooler doors, restrooms, and parking lots, using proper procedures and materials.
Clean and empty trash containers.
Stock shelves and coolers, rotate and front-face stock, remove damaged or out-of-code merchandise, and price merchandise according to the price book.
Check in vendor deliveries as needed according to company guidelines.
Complete bad merchandise forms.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to accommodate store operational needs.
